SDN Search Widget
Widgets are little files that run on your desktop and provide you with constant access to tools or information.
I call this widget as "SDN Search Widget (Beta 1.0)".
1. To use the widget:
1. Download and install Yahoo! Widget Engine (formerly Konfabulator)
http://widgets.yahoo.com/download/
2. Once Yahoo! Widget Engine is installed, download the SDN Search Widget.
At this stage, there is only one type of the SDN Search Widget.

3. Run Yahoo! Widget Engine and open the SDN Search Widget.
4. Enjoy searching what you want in the SDN.

3. Comment
It hasnt been tested with Mac OS. I guess probably it will be okay.
Notice
when you search "SAP Note", you can only use the number of SAP Note.
If you enter SAP Note Number : 782140 ,
it guides you to "OCS: Known problems with Support Packages in Basis Rel.6.20"
http://service.sap.com/~form/handler?_APP=01100107900000000342&_EVENT=DISPL_TXT&_NNUM=782140 .
Hi,
Today I just tried to download the Yahoo Engine, and when it was stating the installation program, the Virus Scan pops up the screen showing this error:
2/8/2007 10:42:05 AM Moved SAP_ALL\I812106 widgetsus.exe C:\Documents and Settings\i812106\Local Settings\Temp\nsq6B.tmp\System.dll Adware-Softomate.dll (Adware)
How can I do to install the engine?
Thanks,
Ramon

Hi David,
Can we put your Widget onto the Download catalog page under Widgets? That would be great!
Thanks, Karin

The widget is great but it doesn't seem to work if you are searching SDN (the exception is searching SDN through Google). When I do a search through the SDN Library or the SDN forums I do not get any results (it brings me to the advanced user search page). When I do the search inside of SDN for the same keywords I get results back. I hope that makes sense.
Regards,
Davis
Interesting!
