How to Create & maintain Chapter ID.

Hi All,

Error Message issued will tried to Make Material & Chapter Id Combination. in T.Code:J1ID.

Entry 85423100 does not exist - check your entry

Message no. 00 058

Diagnosis

Input values must be defined in Table J_1ICHPTER. The value or values '85423100 ' are not specified in this table.

Procedure

Check whether the input is correct and correct if necessary.

Procedure for System Administration

If this is not an incorrect entry, check the system settings and change them if necessary.

If there is a connection to the Customizing system, you can maintain the system settings by choosing Maintain entries (F5)

Hi,

Have you Maintained Chapter Id First in J1ID. Please let me know 85423100 is Material or Chapter ID.

Please check whether 85423100 is correct if its Chapter ID/Material.

Ensure Chapter Id first and the Create Material And Chapter Id Combination in J1ID.

Maintain first Chapter Id in J1ID(T-code). for that perticular material which you have maintined (85423100)

click on chapter id--- next click on new entries - maintain chapter id -

back......... again go to next--material & chapter id combination -

---

maintain -

---

material no -

---

plant -

---

chapter id & material type as a raw material -

I hope you have created the Chapter ID , but you have not assigned the Tax rate to the give Chapter ID.Please check as per the below

J1ID--->Excise Tax rate and enter the required details like

Chapter ID,Excise Indicator as 1,Valid from (01.04.2005) and Valid to (28.02.2009),Excise Rate (16%)

Please try the above and let us know...

Hi Subha,

First go into T-Code J1id,first select radio button of chapter-id,select pencil icon,then click on new Entries.then Enter chapter id No. ,UOM & Decs.

Then back.again select chapeter id material combination radio button.select pencil icon,then click on new Entries.then Enter material,Plant,chapter id,& type of material.

We can maintain Chapter ID's in the SPRO

Logistics - General->Tax on Goods Movements>India>Master Data-->Maintain Chapter IDs

Hi,

First go to J1ID and maintain the list of chapter Id's and its decsription in the very first option. After that you can assign those chapterid's to your materials.

Hi,

In J1ID TCode you have to maintain the Matl ID and Chapter ID combination.

The Chapter ID will be issued by Govt of India for the materials which you have to select and use.You need not create Chapter ID's
