This thread is dedicated to publishing new weblogs. Do not append any comments onto this thread! Only if you have written a weblog, then append a small description with the link here.

For everyone else that are interested, press the <b>"Watch this Topic"</b> option at the start of the thread. Next click <b>"Watch Options"</b>, check "Email Updates", and "Update Watches". Then, whenever a new append is made to this thread, SDN will send an email to all watchers. This is effectively a very cheap "heads up" on new (BSP) related weblogs.

For a complete overview of all BSP related Weblogs, see:

https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/weblogs.sdn?blog=/weblogs/topic/24

<b>WARNING: Do NOT append anything else on this thread, as any new append will trigger a flood of emails to all three (thousand?) people on the watch list!</b>

ABAP Freak Show - jQuery for BSP

After a long time away, the ABAP Freak Show returns to SDN. In this return video we explore the open source library jQuery - which simpliifies JavaScript and AJAX coding. It turns out this is a perfect fit for BSP and we demo its use in a nice AJAX enabled input autocompleter

<b>An Introduction to FLOB (Flex on BSP)</b>

<a href="/people/thomas.jung/blog/2007/11/14/an-introduction-to-flob-flex-on-bsp:///people/thomas.jung/blog/2007/11/14/an-introduction-to-flob-flex-on-bsp

In this blog I would like to introduce you to a new community project called - FLOB (Flex on BSP). The purpose of this project is to make it incredibly easy for BSP and ABAP developers to create Adobe Flex based web applications from within SE80 without having to know anything about Flex Builder, ActionScript, or MXML.

The concept of FLOB is to build a series of BSP Extension Elements (like the SAP delivered HTMLB, XHTMLB, and PHTMLB libraries), except that this new extension will output Adobe Flex instead of HTML and JavaScript. This approach hides any of the differences between Flex and normal BSP development. This also makes the Flex rendering technology accessible to BSP on WebAS 6.20, NetWeaver 6.40 and NetWeaver 7.0.

<b>BSP: HTMLB Tree View with Ajax</b>

<a href="/people/renald.wittwer/blog/2007/05/07/bsp-htmlb-tree-view-with-ajax:///people/renald.wittwer/blog/2007/05/07/bsp-htmlb-tree-view-with-ajax

One problem of the HTMLB Tree is the limitation of nodes. SAP recommends to use this element with not more than 30-50 nodes. Actually it should be possible to load the opened Subtree via Ajax. It is possible, as the following Implementation shows.

BSP: Server Side Printing for tableViews

I really dislike trying to print table displays of data from the browser. While making tableViews only display a few records at a time might be a good UI decision, it further complicates the printing situation. Doesn't it seem like there should be a nice easy way to print tableView contents?

Hi everyone,

time to contribute! I've scrambled together a weblog on incorporating AJAX into BSP:

This is a simple htmlb-based BSP that shows some of the cool (and hopefully useful) things you can do with AJAX.

I'm hoping to expand on this in the near future!
