Dears,
I am going to do Remote client copy from PRD to DEV.
When I run RFC system Comparision option in SCC9 in dev it shows several tables that non existent in PRD while exists in DEV.
So now when I will do copy from PRD to DEV,Will these tables be deleted from dev or they will still be there but will not produce any error during copy.
Please suggest.
Deepak
Deepak,
Make sure that the source and target systems are at the same support pack level.
Cheers,
Nisch

Hi,
In Test run,I checked that there is 47 GB of data that needs to be copied.
Now I just want to know which tablespace PSAP<SID> or any other I should I extend for this client copy to make this 47 GB available in DEV.
One more thing want to confirm,In Dev i have kernel 640 and in PRD kernel 620.
So should i also upgrade kernel of PRD to 640 or there is no effect of it.
Deepak.
Hi,
Kernel is independent part for client copy, but i suggested you to upgrade the kernel on production server,
kernel 620 is out of maintenance.
for remote client copy check Note 557132 - CC-TOPIC: Remote client copy
47 GB client size is large so you should check Note 489690 - CC INFO: Copying large production clients

Hi,
i told you that it's difficult to say the Time.
The database interface limits the throughput to approximately 500MB per hour and process. This means a runtime of 1 - 2 hours for a production preparation client and an even longer runtime
in your case might be it's takes more than 24 hours.

kaushal
Hi kaushal,
Yes,That is due to some transport request difference.
I need to do copy of all data from PRD client 999 except the user masters that should be same as earlier in my dev client 333.So i am using the procedure.
First I will create a new client 444 in DEV then remote client copy from 999 to 444 with SAP_ALL then local client copy from 333 to 444 with SAP_USER.
Is it Ok.
Deepak..
Hi
Make sure the precautions check the RFC connection,
Check the client size, If the target client is empty no issue at all,
It will copy without any deletion of tables.
All the best
Cheers
Bhaskar

Hello,
Nothing will be deleted and the copy should work without any problem.
