What is your recommend for this function :
1. Each company code is assigned to its unique / own posting period variant.
or
2. Each company code is assigned to the same posting period variant.
What are the impacts?

Each company code can be assigned to the same or different posting period variant. The closing activities will be done accordingly at different times. Posting period variant is independent of Fiscal year variant.
