In order to better meet the needs of our members, our community is moving to a new home, and many from the SAP team have shared on this topic. New features and improvements are exciting to learn about, but for me, the most important element remains the people and the close relationships between our members.

People are the strongest asset of any community, and the SAP community is no exception. I’ve been part of this wonderful community for a long time, and like many of you, I’ve been able to forge new friendships, learn from mentors, and connect with colleagues too numerous to name. Some have moved on. Many have remained. And for those of us still around, one thing is constant: we continuously ideate and share insight to figure out how to best navigate an evolving SAP landscape.

Working with you, for you

Malin Liden recently shared that I’ve taken on the role of Community Experience team lead. I am honored to do so. I am very proud of the team and the hard work they do to ensure we have the best professional community around. Many of them are well known while others work quietly behind the scenes. Precisely for this reason I started the Behind the Scenes series to give the community the opportunity to learn a bit more about them. I encourage you to read about our experts. They are advocating daily for you.

Your feedback, your community

The community needs are uppermost in our minds as we move forward to provide the best experience possible, a best of breed. Today the Strategic Advisory Council and specific focus groups are actively providing us feedback through closed beta. We also recently added representative groups such as moderators and SAP Mentors - to help us realize our vision and strategy for the new SAP community.

Gathering input from community stakeholders is all part of our commitment to prepare for our next home. Even after these preparations are complete and we move to our new home, our work will not be done. Improvement is an ongoing process and we’ll continue to evolve the SAP community to ensure it fits our requirements to provide the world-class experience we’ve come to expect. It’s a journey I look forward to taking together!
