Enabling interactive data exploration has always been at the core of the SAP SuccessFactors Workforce Analytics solution. SAP SuccessFactors was one of the pioneers of interactive web based analytics over a decade ago and now Investigate ushers in the next generation of our Query Workspace as our overall user experience makes a leap forward.
With the SAP SuccessFactors release in Q2 2016, we delivered Investigate, a new cutting-edge capability to accelerate the process that HR analysts go through to analyze workforce issues. It does this by letting the system surface relevant metrics and recommend compelling visualizations to communicate the findings. This is noteworthy: this is not about raw data mining and exploration; it’s about understanding the underpinnings of the relationship between various HR and talent management metrics and best practices, and providing guidance in the tool to direct the investigation of an issue and help build a full, quantitative understanding of it.
In this release, the investigation experience is made more visually interactive and engaging. HR analysts, and also HR business partners, can now easily search for metrics and explore through charts with a fluid and natural feel, apply multi-select filtering, drill to detailed employee lists and rapidly navigate a structural hierarchy. The embedded forecasting and projections provide a quick outlook into the future and help guide the direction of the analysis.
The visual, less technical nature of this tool allows customers to also open it to their HR business partners for use, easing the work load on their HR Analysts to spend more time on addressing more difficult questions. With the improved interactivity and enhanced flow, SAP SuccessFactors brings increased agility to the data analysis process enabling HR analysts and business partners to accomplish more in less time.
