Along with this exciting news, we also want to offer you a way to get to know more about the product features and how to use GWPAM, by providing a Self-Paced Learning site.
Objective of GWPAM Self-Paced Learning
Our goal is to show you, in detail, how quickly and easily you can develop solutions to consume and extend SAP using Microsoft Technologies such as Microsoft Office. GWPAM framework and SAP NetWeaver Gateway OData services are the tools. GWPAM Self-Paced Learning is a dynamic site that will be continually updated with new content.

Who is the Intended Audience?
GWPAM Self-Paced Learning has been developed with customers, partners and consulting in mind who share interest in SAP and Microsoft Integration. You may just want general information on what SAP GWPAM offers or you may be a developer learning how to use the GWPAM framework to expedite creation of Microsoft applications that integrate SAP data.
What Content is Included?
Topics will include the following:
- Pre-requisites and Installation of GWPAM software.
- How to use the GWPAM Project Templates for Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 or 2012 to develop solutions integrated with Microsoft Outlook Contacts, Tasks and Appointments.
- The GWPAM SAP Service Reference feature will allow you more flexibility by providing a mechanism to include an OData service to any C# project in Microsoft Visual Studio.
- An SAP Leave Request Workflow application will be showcased. This application was created utilizing all three GWPAM Project Templates as well as the GWPAM SAP Service Reference feature. The project was extended by adding additional coding to create a user friendly UI for Microsoft Outlook.
- Understand the generated C# objects and code and guidance on where you can tweak or extend the application by adding your own code
- The GWPAM interoperability framework also includes features for setting Security (e.g. Basic, SAML2 and X509) as well as Supportability to provide mechanisms for End to End tracing, logging and Solution Manager Integration.
How does it work?
GWPAM Self-Paced Learning is made up of a series of recorded presentations and step by step technical demos covering a variety of topics starting from a general overview to detailed sessions intended to provide online training to a developer.
