Due to demographic challenges, advanced skill and certification requirements, and global workforce shortages, effective total workforce management is critical. Collaborative networks will play a major role in recruiting, managing, and advancing the workforce. Recruiting platforms and managed service providers will enable the requisitioning needed to find people with the right skills to meet business needs and compliance requirements. Safety and compliance will be the driving forces to digitize – and thus connect – the workforce.

At the International SAP Conference for Oil and Gas at The Hague, Netherlands, earlier this year, Ken Landgren of SAP presented an overview of Connected Workforce, and what it means to the Digital Energy Network.

In Ken’s presentation, he discusses the changing workforce needs in these challenging times in oil and gas, introduces the Connected Workforce, and explains how it can be used to create competitive advantage in the digital energy revolution.

You can see the complete presentation recorded at the International SAP Conference for Oil and Gas in The Hague on SAP's YouTube channel here.

You will also find Ken at the Best Practices for Oil and Gas conference in the Woodlands on September 13 and 14, 2016, at the Woodlands Marriott, just north of Houston.  Find more information about the conference and register here.
