This week I joined about 60 professors from SAP University Alliances member schools from across the Americas gathered for the annual SAP University Alliances Summer Workshops at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Professors were enabled on S/4 HANA ERP, and SAP Analytics. We also introduced the SAP Learning Hub - Academic Edition to the many new professors joining our group.  I provided an update to the group on current SAP University Alliances priorities and plans for the coming academic year including our SAP Education Network for Digital Transformation and our new Midwest Digital Innovation Community.

Workshop Offerings:

•      Introduction to Business Processes Using SAP S/4 HANA and SAP ERP Tom Wilder, University of California, Chico

Participants were introduced to the SAP University Alliances program, SAP S/4 HANA, SAP ERP, and best practices for teaching with University Alliances curriculum. New curriculum content featuring SAP S/4 HANA was introduced. Additional ERP processes were covered using the "Introduction to SAP ERP using Global Bike Inc." curriculum with a focus on teaching the concepts, principles and techniques related to these processes and hands-on exercises.

•      Analytics with SAP Hossam Ali-Hassan, Dalhousie University

Participants were introduced to analytics solutions from SAP including SAP BusinessObjects, SAP Lumira, SAP Predictive Analytics (includes Predictive Analysis and InfiniteInsight), and SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse. SAP’s newest solution, Cloud for Analytics (C4A) was introduced.  Participants gained hands on experience with curriculum focusing on self-service business intelligence scenarios including data visualization, data mining, dashboards, mobile apps, and how to leverage big datasets including Walmart/Sam's Club data at University of Arkansas.

A special thanks to our hosts from the SAP University Competence Center at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, who did an outstanding job supporting professors and enabling an educational and enjoyable week for all. We all look forward to our second planned set of summer workshops which will also be held at UWM in July.
