|Short Bio:|| For 8 years I was the Senior Vice President at SAP responsible for for growing the SAP Community Network (SCN) from its earliest days (as SDN) until maturity when it surpassed 3 million members, for SAP's presence on social media, for the SAP TechEd conferences, for SAP.com websites globally, for helping to build and grow SAP EcoHub as the company's initial foray into ecommerce (now the SAP Store online), and for managing the SAP business/technology standards and open source team.
I left SAP to join Cisco Systems as Vice President of Digital ... responsible for turning around, setting a new strategy, and then leading Cisco.com, Cisco social media, Cisco TV (video), Cisco communities, and Cisco's employee intranet.
Prior to SAP, I served in management positions at Oracle, PeopleSoft, Sun Microsystems, Unisys, and Prudential in areas including: marketing, eBusiness, website/portal/ community management, from headquarters, to field, and division-level positions.
I was born in Texas, grew up near Philadelphia, and now live in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. Some of my favorite things include: one fabulous wife, three amazing kids, two extraordinary grandsons, an enthusiastic labrador retriever, and a shiny+ loud Harley-Davidson Road King Classic.
