Changing breakdown duration units in reports

Hi All,

I want to know is there any way we can change the breakdown duration "units" in Reports such as IW29 and IW39.

Actually what is happening is that whenever there is a breakdown for less than 18 seconds, then these reports show breakdown duration as 0.00 Hours.

E.g. for 17 seconds breakdown duration, these reports show 17/3600 = 0.00 Hours and of course this should not happen.

If your using EEC6, then you may be able to utilise enhancement-spots to manipluate the data.

Otherwise, copy the SAP standard program and make the required changes.

but in IW47-Confirmation List, the unit which we are entering(using IW41) is displayed in the List. so I thought there should be a IMG setting for this. but couldn't find it..

Hi,

There is not any way to change this unit. Breakdown duration is always shown in hours on the notification list editing reports. This is to ensure all values on the report have the same time unit for totalling, sorting, etc.

Well... logic is rite....

Do u think a breakdown can have only 17 sec. In my exp. i haven't came across a break down.

Any way...

You can change the hours...

you can do before Notification complete

Otherwise u have to change the status "notification in progress"

Then u can change the break down hours...

In IW29 / IW39 u can see only display

Go to IW22 / IW32 to change

Well... in the case i'm considering breakdown can even be less than 17 secs...

this is actually because i'm using Notifications to track Faults in a TV Monitoring system. So a Channel Blackout can even be less than 10secs.

anyway i'm aware that using IW22 / IW32 i can change the unit of durtn. but my question is can we change this "unit" we entered in the List display mood (IW29/39. Because in the list it's Only shown in H.

My guess is that SAP use a routine to convert all readings to hours in IW29/39.

Get your ABAP guys to take a look.

For ur Purpose...

Maintain the Unit "Seconds" in SPRO Settings

SAP NetWeaver - General Settings - Check Units of Measurement

U cannot change in list display mode...

If u see in the change mode of the notification, u can change the settings...

I think, seconds is not maintained..

So.. Ask Core team members to customize Seconds.

Normally in SAP it will be maintained in H - Hours. thats why ur getting only Hours...

You can change it into seconds
