Costing blocked for material X.Posting not possible.Do you want to cancel?

Hi,

I need to do a costing via transaction CK11N. The above mentioned error message appears, but I can not find the respective block.

Where can I find these blocks?

In the material master I can not find a costig block for this material (tab Costing 1 - Do not cost).

now the costing was possible without problems.

I do not understand the reason of the error message.

Somebody else was also working on the material, then the system blocks the material for changes. Then the person finished, that is why the you could now do the change.

Check at the bottom of the screen, SAP likes talking to you. Click on the text message saying the material is blocked, (or any other message), and it will (usually) explain to you in detail what went wrong.

unfortunately in this special case SAP does not like talking to me, that was the reason for this thread.

HI,

Check the transaction OMS4, under the header of " Cost estimate with Qunaity Structure". This stops you actually to do cost estimate

Please check in Material master t code MM03

1. Basic Data 1 view: X plant material Status, is there any value?

2. MRP 1 View, Plant Specific materail Status

3. Costing 2 View- Plant Sp.matl Stauts- IS there any value?

One of this should be the cause..

the material status is 14, but even if I change it to 01 the error is the same.

Any other ideas?
