Hi Prasanth,
Setting it in Default profile, will be applicable for all the instances,
If you are setting it in Instance profiles, then you need to set it in all the instances profiles of application servers.

Vijay.

Your question has been answered earlier in this thread.... pay attention to the replies you get.
Setting it in Default profile, will be applicable for all the instances,
If you are setting it in Instance profiles, then you need to set it in all the instances profiles of application servers.
Also... if the parameter is not dynamic then you need to restart the whole system (meaning CI and all DI's)

Juan

Hi All,
SAP Note 1079446 gives this soln-:
Solution
To avoid the problem, set the profile parameter rdisp/reset_online_during_debug = 1 (not documented) in the instance profile. This parameter is available in the kernel patches mentioned in the Support Package patch levels.
our SAP kernel is : 640_REL and patch level: 217 latest is 247
Setting the rdisp/reset_online_during_debug = 1 will solve the problem?or we need to upgrade the kernel also?
Wat is the meaning of not documented?
Regards,
Prashant
Hi Prashanth,
You already seems to be having a patch higher that that mentioned in the note.
Is the OSS note relevant, in your case, i.e are the dumps are being generated during the "RFC debugging of a function module"
as mentioned in the note, and also check other terms mentioned in the note,
If it is relevant then you need to set the profile parameter as mentioned in the note.
Regards,
Vijay.
Hi Vijay,
Thanks for the reply, We have CI on Unix and 4 dialog instances on windows NT server. We are getting this error in all the servers.Do we need to set this in only CI or each one?means including all Apps servers?
Is it required to restart the server after setting this parameter and what does this parameter signifies?
Regards,
Prashant
