Srch Help Activation Error ACT_700 phae

Former Member

Hi,

We are currently working on an 4.6C to ECC 6.0 upgrade and unicode conversion.

We are now in the ACT_700, DD activation phase, we have received a error pertaining to match code and search help

1EEDO519 "Matchcode ID" "DEBI5" could not be activated (we can avoid match codes as its not support in unicode environment)

1EEDO519 "Srch Help" "ZDEBI5" could not be activated

Since both the above matchcode and search help points to the pool table M_DEBI5, which has the pool type M_DEBI which is not available in the shadow instance.

But the pool table is available in the 4.6C environment, but its not available in the shadow instance, hence we are not able to activate the Srch Help "ZDEBI5".

Can you help us like

- How to activate the Srch help? Do we need to create the pool table manually in the shadow instance?

- If we create the table manually will all the data from the 4.6C system will get transferred to the ECC 6? Or

- Is there a best way to handle this?

Would appreciate your early reply on this

Thanks & Regards

Senthil

Hi J. Senthil,

You can´t activate the matchcode ID, because in The DEBI search Help have Included Search Helps.

After Upgrade, DEBI are with the new version (ECC 6.0) and the Client Included Searh Helps isn´t it (in this case ZDEBI5).

The better solution for this, are add the client included search helps on SPDD phase (previous that ACT phase).

In your case i go to the DEBI and ADD the ZDEBI5 search help. It´s probably that you need to register the DEBI Sap object but it´s the solution to active the search help.

I hope that it´s help.

Hi Senthil,

We also had similar kind of error during upgrade. As match codes are the replacements for views in ECC we simply ignored it and later we recreated it maually. However after the upgade before unicode conversion we found table M_DEBI had some invalid records which created shown in the logs so we cleaned invalidated records in SPUMG(pre-conversion).Hence conversion was smooth.

You should also know that as per SAP you may loose your customer search helps duing upgrade this is a know problem. For that you have to manually recreate after your system fully upgraded &converted.

Hope this helps you.

regards,

Vamshi.

Thank you for your reply Alberto Ruiz

Can you please explain how we need to do to "add the client included search helps on SPDD phase (previous that ACT phase)."

and also how to do this step:

"i go to the DEBI and ADD the ZDEBI5 search help. It´s probably that you need to register the DEBI Sap object but it´s the solution to active the search help."

Thanks & Regards

Hi J. Senthil,

Response your questions:

<<Can you please explain how we need to do to "add the client included search helps on SPDD phase (previous that ACT phase).">>

In the SPDD phase. You must to press on the semaphore of the object (in this case DEBI search help).

You can see a pop-up with any options. To modify the object have: Accept or Edit.

If put Accept, Sap made the modifications between old and new object (last and new Sap version). If put modify you can made the modifications.

Now, you press Display <--> Change buttom, press the Included Search Helps and copy the Client Search Helps in the DEBI upgrade´s before object to the DEBI after upgrade object.

After, you active the search help and the client search helps can be used.

<<"i go to the DEBI and ADD the ZDEBI5 search help. It´s probably that you need to register the DEBI Sap object but it´s the solution to active the search help.">>

The explain in the first question is the same that´s in this point. You can go to the search help on the ACT_700 phase. If you press the buttom Display <--> Change and SAP pay the object key, you must go to Service Sap to register this object, and after, you can add the client search helps on Included Search Helps and active this.

Best Regards.
