I deleted a universe file from the repository.
Now I am trying to open the local copy of that universe but it is giving me FRM 00008 error
You are not authorized to use this document (FRM 00008)
Details: The universe could not be found in the Central Management Server. Possible causes include:
1. The universe may have been deleted from the CMS
2. You may not have access rights to view the universe
3. The CMS may be unavailable
I have already reexported a universe file with the same name to the repository, but that file is different from the original one.
Now I trying to open the same universe file which I deleted from the repository but getting this message.
Is there any way I can open this file and reexport it back with the same name.
Please advice.

Hi,
It seems that the local copy of the universe is corrupted. Please try the following workaround to resolve the FRM0008 error.
To work around this issue:
1. Make a new universe with specific name (Eg. TEST).
2. Export it and save it on the local computer.
3. Copy the name of the TEST universe and delete the TEST universe from the local computer.
4. Rename the corrupted universe with the TEST.unv name.
5. Open the TEST.unv from the local computer in Designer.
6. Export the universe
7. Import the universe again to get the corrupted universe data.
This workaround deals with the SI_SHORTNAME and SI_NAME of the universe. Business Objects Enterprise always recognizes universes with their SI_NAME. You can check these by querying in Query Builder.

Hi,
Please try with the below mentioned specific workaround:
1. Create a temporary universe (for example, replace_me.unv) and export it to the CMS, ensuring that the save for all users option is enabled.
2. Search for the copy of this universe that is now in the Input File Store.
3. Rename the original universe the same name as the temporary universe.
4. Replace the temporary universe with the original universe.
5. In the Designer, import the renamed original universe (replace_me.unv).
6. Save the universe with the original name.
This should resolve the issue.

There is a simplier way to get back you universe:
Create a universe on your local machine as TEST.unv
go to options then insert.
Find the local copy of your universe that you having problems with.
This should then open up as a second universe connection showing all the tables and connections.
Then goto to File > parameters then in the links tab click your universe then click include then Ok.
Your Universe is restored from which you can save and export.
