It's a MSIExec error. Typically you need full permission and update to Microsofts Installer

This can occur when the file is in use or did not install properly for some reason. In most instances, if the install completes, simply register the DLL manually.

1. Click Start and then click Run.

2. In the Open box, type the following command, and then click OK

RegSvr32 filename

where filename is the name of the file specified in Error 1904.

The above answer is not mine however I have read it from another forum and paste it here. All credits to that person!

Thanx. Actually b4 posting, I went through all options (here and web) but no luck. I am not able to register the dll. This is what I get

LoadLibrary ("secLDAP.dll") failed - The specified module could not be found. (even though it is the directory)

Can't seem to find the answer. That is why I posted for help.

One more note: am logged in as Admin. on WINXP SP3

Still looking for that simple thing I am forgetting to do.....

I was reinstalling and had the same issue.

After uninstalling and rebooting it would still give the registry error so I checked in the control panel and noticed the service packs were still installed.

I removed them it installed without issue.

In another forum I read that reinstalling Windows also did the trick.

Hope this helps.
