Hi,

If the above mentioned solution fails to work then please test the following solution.

This occurs because one of the subreports is a copy of the other. The report was created using Version 7 of Seagate Crystal Reports. This version gives the ability to create a subreport and save it as a separate RPT file from the main report. If this subreport is then reinserted from the RPT file, it is automatically given the same name as the first subreport and cannot be changed (Track ID 16817). The end result is that the report contains two subreports with identical names.

This causes an issue when trying to pass values to each subreport through the URL. The only way to refer to a specific subreport is by its name as it appears in the Crystal Reports Designer. The first subreport can be referenced but no others that share the same name can be referenced.

Solution

If the subreport must be used more that once, then each subreport will need to be created separately as an RPT file. A subreport can then be created from each RPT file.

following solution also will be helpful to resolve the issue.

It was discovered that the 2 subreports in the report were pointing to different Database Containers. After opening the report in the Crystal Reports Designer and pointing the subreports to the correct database (Database | Set Location) for each DBC, the report was returned in the browser.

Hi,

Following information might help you to resolve the issue.

This error occurs when the Crystal Reports Web Engine is unable to create the "encapsulated pages" needed to be served up over the web. This is usually an NTFS file permissions issue.

The following steps will resolve this issue:

1. Call the report using the URL to force the Crystal Web Report Server to prompt for the logon values

2. If the logon loops back the information filled in, check to ensure that the ODBC DSN is a System DSN.

3. Ensure that the NTFS file permissions document has been applied.

4. Try running the Crystal Web Page Server and the Crystal Web Image Server under administrative accounts in the Services window within Windows NT.

The document containing recommended NTFS permissions for version 7, Scr7_ntfsrights.pdf, can be searched for and downloaded from:

Hello - I am experiencing similar issues with a report that was imported into XI 3.1 and is failing with the Encapsulating page failed error in InfoView. Were you able to resolve this issue?

Thanks.
