update your kernel with both files:

SAPEXE_xxx.SAR

SAPEXEDB_xxx.SAR

Hi Eric,

But i am surprised that why its happening like this on Win only. Suddenly the server got down and i can not see any error message, but when i try to start the SAP from MMC it says that cannot read registration directory :
<hostname>\sapmnt\SID\SYS\global\sapcontrol. I am not getting any clue on this. Any how i will try by updating the kernel.

Hi All,

Sorry for the replying late.. The issue is with services at OS level .. After restarting the server service from services.msc the issue has been resolved..

Dear Friends,

We also faced same issue when we try to start SAP through MMC (but in our case we moved our SAP system from one host to another host)

"cannot read registration directory :
<Hostname>\sapmnt\<SID>\SYS\global\sapcontrol
"

Thanks to Mahesh - We were able to start SAP after restarting SAP service from services.msc.

Seems to be the problem with dboraslib.dll try to update the dll from Service market place.

Check the SAP Note:556232.
