Reversing Sub contracting Challan

Dear All,

I have tried to reverse the sub contracting challan which has Return date : 26.01.2009, but it is throwing an error saying:

Assesable value 0 for material R0392014800

Message no. 8I257

In J1ID, we have maintained the assesable value valid from 01.04.2008 by seeing this message. Even then also it is not allowing to reverse.

Kindly suggest some solution to proceed.

Hi,

During creation of the challan, assesable value was zero & you might have ignored the warnng message. Threfore the value is not updated in the excise item details table. Afterwards eve if you maintain the assesable value through J1id, it will not update the value in the challan item. You can see this TC:J1if13 in quanitity overview.Therefore it is not possible to complete the challan.

Only way of rectifycing this is to update the excise base amount value (assesable value) EXBAS in table J_1IEXCDTL (This is manual updation of the table).
