Dear Friends,
I am not able to understand the term given in the sap book "As many periods can be open simultaneously. However, only two period intervals can be open at the same"
Can anyone please understand me
- - how many periods can open at a time example 12 months complete.
- - What is the meaning of period intervals ?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Mahendra Dev
In posting periods, you have 12 normal periods and 4 special periods normally.
If you want you can keep all these periods open at the same time or you can open only a specific period say period 03 to period 04 at a time (one interval)
However, you cannot make twoo period intervals (say period 03 to period 04 & period 08 to period 09) at the same time.

Hi Mahendra,
It means that you can have any number of periods open at a time but only 2 different period ranges at any point of time.
Example 1,
you can have 2 period ranges (intervals) open at a time -
Range : 11/2008 to 12/2008 and 04/2009 to 05/2009
here you have totally 4 periods opened.
Example 2
Range: 01/2008 to 12/2008 and 02/2009 to 05/2009
No. of Periods open - 16 periods

Mike
