Hi,
Kindly let me know the difference between Asset Accounting (AA) and Asset Management (AM). I can see a forum named Enterprise Asset Management (EAM). Is this the same as Asset Management (AM)?
Cheers,
Ashok
There is no differences between Asset Accounting (AA) and Asset Management (AM).
Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) don't have any thing to do with AA/AM
In the past EAM was wrongly used for AM and AA

Asset Accounting and Asset Management are 2 different modules.
Asset accounting is a sub module in Financial Accounting which is used for managing your Fixed Assets like Acquisition, depreciation, retirement and history of the Fixed Assets.
Asset Management is a module which is used for managing your Investments like inv in shares, Gsecs etc. This module primarily is used by Mutual Fund Houses or Insurance companies who do investments in equities etc. This module pertains to managing investment issues like Risk Assesment, Returns on investments, IRR etc.
