printer issue

Hello gurus,

I am facing the printer issue.

Status: Incorrect (Error Sending Data)

Job status: Completed

Area: Data transfer

Error: Host spool error

Info: enq: (FATAL ERROR): 0781-048 Bad queue or

Last event:

Message: Processing completed by spool work proces

Time: 06/16/2009 00:03:35

And tha LOg is:

SAP spool error log

=====================

Print request processing log

The host spool is reporting errors

Message from host spool:

enq: (FATAL ERROR): 0781-048 Bad queue or device name: mu10s35.

End of message

Errors occurred processing this print request

Error during print request output. l_rc = 1

There may be no printout

Plz provide me the solution

Hello friends

My problem was resolved.

The problem is host name is different from Sap level as well as os level also.

And we have changed the Device type also.

we have co-ordinate with AIX team to reslove the issue.

This error message means: you print to a queue with the name "mu10s35" that is not existing in your OS.

Bad queue or device name

Seems like you printer is not properly configured in SPAD. Check SPAD configuration and also make sure you're using the right method.

try to configure the printer using IP address instead of hostname, and choose correct printing method.

When are you facing the error.

Can you be more specific and which printer you are using is it Frontend or network printer.

is it a dialog or batch job printing error.
