responsible cost centre vs account assignment cost centre?

hi

in maintenance order what is the difference between responsible cost centre(additional data tab) and cost centre(location data

tab).

Hi,

Responsible cost center is the cost center of the responsible party who is going to do the maintenance ie work center. So if you see the Mn work center(which is responsibe for maint work) and its cost center, its same as responsible cost center.

And in Location tab we talk about the location of the reference object like Equipment. It means the equipment belongs to which area, which cost center etc. So if you see the Equipment cost center it is same as cost center mentioned in Location tab of the order.

Account Assignment Cost Center is the Cost Center which collects the Maintenance Order Cost , i.e.. Settlement rule picks this Cost Center .

Responsible Cost Center will be usually Maintenance Cost Center.

For Example-

The cost center "printing works" requires a new machine for folding newspapers. The cost center "site office" is responsible for implementing the construction.

The cost center "site office" is the responsible cost center.

The cost center "printing works" is the requesting cost center - Account Assignment Cost Center
