COPA value fields

Hello Experts ,

While creating copa datasource in KEB0 , I could see two types of value fields

1. value field

2. Calculated Key Figures from the Key Figure Scheme this one starts with COPA *

A bit confused what is the difference between them .

Which one should I use ? In my case I could see Sales quantity in both places .

Do I need to create custome key figures for all the value fields ?

Specific reply will be appreciated

thanks

Pankaj

It's an either or scenario (don't select the same Key Figure under both).

If your plan is to use the values of the amounts directly from the CE1XXXX table, then you can use (check) the Key Figures in the Values. If you have defined a Calculated Key Figure Scheme in tcode KER1, the Key Figures that you've created Calculated Key Figures would be chosen.

Dennis,

I am a BW developer . Don't have much idea how the COPA has been configured in ECC side .

I just now checked in KEB0. it has some values fields which are common .

I also checked KER1 . Did't find out anything defined .

So , What should I do ? Should I take the values from value field instaed of Calculated Key Figures from the Key Figure Scheme.

Pls guide me .

Do I need to create all the custom key figures for all the value fields ?

Thanks

Pankaj

If there haven't been any Calculated Key Figure Schemes defined, as you stated, then just choose the amounts under Values fields. There is no need to create custom Key Figures in ECC.

There's no need to created them in ECC.

In BW, most of the COPA Key Figures are available in standard content (they are 0G_XXXXXX where XXXXXX generally is the same as the technical name for the amount field in ECC). For example, Revenue on CE1XXXX is AERLOS and the corresponding Key Figure InfoObject on BW is 0G_AERLOS. For the small cases where you cannot find a Key Figure in the BI Content within BW, you'll have to create a custom Key Figure InfoObject for it. We only created one custom Key Figure in BW, the remaining 33 amounts that we have from COPA in BW were in the BI Content.

Denise,

I am in BI 7.0 . I checked in Business content . None of the 0G_XXXXXX key figues are present in business content .

may be something has changed . Can you double check and confirm pls ?

I had to refresh my memory on how to do this...sorry for the confusion. When it was done on our BI 7 environment, the BW 3.5 DataSource was used to generate these InfoObjects. For that InfoObjects are created automatically for value fields and user-defined characteristics if the DataSource is mapped to an InfoSource using the source system view in RSA1. To do this, a dialog box appears where you choose Application Proposal. This will generate missing InfoObjects value fields, measure unit fields, and the user-defined characteristics. Each COPA field in the source system that has a technical name consisting of 5 characters will have a BW generated InfoObject created 0G_x. See the [How to...CO-PA Extraction|http://sap.seo-gym.com/copa.pdf] document, Sections 2 2 through 2.5 for a little more detail.

There are other BI Content InfoObject Key Figures in BI 7 that you can activate, if you choose not to do what I mentioned above, then you could use these in BI Content:
