Crystal Reports runtime Error

Former Member

Hi,

We have installed crystal reports XI 32-bit run time in a 64-bit server, The Installations was successful however when running a report it comes up with the error below.

An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime.

Either the Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient or the crystal reports runtime is not installed correctly.

Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the crystal reports runtime (x86, x64, or itanium) required. Please go to http://www.businessobjects.com/support for more information

Has anyone come across this problem? Please let me know how to solve this issue?

Regards,

Mohan

I think this information might help you

Symptom

Running a 32 bit application that uses Crystal Reports XI Release 2 or lower on a 64 bit server produced this error message:

An error has occurred while attempting to load crystal reports runtime

Please install the appropriate crystal report redistributable (CRREDIST*.MIS) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports runtime (X86, X64, or Itanium) required.

How do you resolve this error?

Resolution

To resolve this error you must enable IIS to run 32 bit on 64 bit via script by doing the following:

1. Click Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt, and type this command to enable 32-bit Application Pools:

cscript %SystemDrive%\inetpub\AdminScripts\adsutil.vbs set w3svc/AppPools/Enable32bitAppOnWin64 1

2. If the application is upgraded to 64-bit, type the following to re-enable 64-bit Application Pools:

cscript %SystemDrive%\inetpub\AdminScripts\adsutil.vbs set w3svc/AppPools/Enable32bitAppOnWin64 0

Hi Raghavendra,

Many Thanks for your response!!

The suggested resolution did not work...Any other suggestions?

Any Service pack or Patch Level to fix this problem?

We are SAP B1 Business partner and have recently purchased Crystal Reports release 2 XI developer version. Not sure how to raise a support call with for SAP Business Objects?
