disp+work.exe running but not connected to ms

Can anyone help us on this. We have migrated SAP 4.6C from a 32 bit server which was running on Windows server 2000 and Oracle 10.2.0.2 (32 bit) to a 64 bit machine. This new server is running on Windows server 2003 and Oracle 10.2.0.2 (64 bit). After migrating the systemthe first time the system run okay but immediately we rebooted the server, the disp+work.exe (dispatcher) can not connect to the message server though its running.

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Hello,

In MMC, are you able to see work process in ABAP work process list?

If not then your whole system is down.

In this case, please check dev_disp and dev_w0 log.

If you are able to see work process in MMC, but MS is not connected (rare case), then this is kernel problem. Update your kernel.
