Change of Plant in sales order line item

Hi folks,

Can someone guide me how to change the line item sales order --plant after saving.

it is coming as grayed once entered.

Remove the plant in the Customer Master and try again

Whether the plant is changeable in the sales order or not depends on your requirement class/requirement type settings. If you do not have the option of changing the requirement type then you can go for the development option. You can make the plant field editable by doing modification in USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION in MV45AFZZ program, however this may lead to some inconsistencies. Thanks- SS

Good To see few replies, But the field(Plant) is coming grayed after entering the plant in the line Item.

Can you provide additional info, such as -

What is the Material type?

Which scenario it refers to?

Any Userexit used to control field modification

Any Transaction variant is assigned in document type details?

You can very well change the Plant @ item level in the Sales Order VA02, Until unless is there any subsequent document exist ( eg: Delivery creation w/o PGI).

There are several reasons that plant cant be changed after saving the sales order, one such reason is passing the requirement.

Its always better in this case delete the line item and enter again with a right plant
