Hello experts,
I want to upload photo of an employee in personal data infotype, for that i have followed the given steps below;
*1. Create a number range for SAP Archive Link :
IMG>Basis Components>Basis Services>SAP Archive Link>Basic Settings>Maintain number ranges.
Tcode: OANR
Create range 01 from 0000000001 to 9999999999 without the external number flag.
2. Document type HRICOLFOTO must exist with document class JPG.
IMG>Basis Components>Basis Services>SAP Archive Link>System Settings>Maintain document types.
Table: TOAVE
Tcode: OAC2
3. Document type HRICOLFOTO must be linked to object type PREL and IT0002.
IMG>Personnel Management>Personnel Administration>Tools>Optical Archiving>Set up Optical Archiving in HR.
View: V_T585O,
In all three columns there are minuses, don't put a flag in the check box.
4. Check which content repository (Archive) is linked to document type HRICOLFOTO and object type PREL.
IMG>Basis Components>Basis Services>SAP Archive Link>Basic Settings>Maintain Links.
Table: TOAOM_C,
Tcode: OAC3
5. Create this content repository with storage type FILE archive.
IMG>Basis Components>Basis Services>SAP Archive Link>Basic Settings>Maintain content repositories.
Tcode: OAC0
Storage type FILE archive can be attained by clicking on the field Storage type and clicking somewhere else in the screen with the right mouse button. Choose Possible entries and only then you get a list of all values. FILE Archive is entry number 08. Choose Version no. 0031 and Archive path something.*
Now in 5th step ;
I have Create a new repository A2 ; In that
Content Rep. : A2 (A custom repository)
Description : Employee Photos
Document Area: ArchiveLink
Storage type: R/3 database
Rep. Sub-Type: Normal
Version no. : 0046 Content Server version 4.6
Contents table: SDOKCONT1
Phys. path : /usr/sap/(SYS-ID)/SYS/global/
But I can not set Document Area as Archive Link and Storage Type as R/3 Database.
Rest of the fields are set properly.
Please Guide me,What should I do.
Regards & Thanks,
Jagdish.
In OAC2 maintain values like this
Example:
Content Rep. Z1
Description Employee Photo Upload
Document Area :ARCHIVE LINK
Storage type : 03 System Database
Rep. Sub-Type :Normal
Version no. 0046 Content Server version 4.6
Contents table SDOKCONT1
Transfer drctry C:\Documents and Settings\archana\Desktop\Photos
Phys. path C:\Documents and Settings\archana\Desktop\Photos\

i appreciate your given example, but my problem is i can not able to set
Document Area :ARCHIVE LINK
Storage type : 03 System Database
when am trying to set above both fields with given values, it will reset the values.. can not able to set above given values..
So, is there any SAP Note is need to apply????
am currently in ECC 6.0 and my latest patch level is 38 for HR
I think you need to use Transaction Code "OAAD" ---> click Store and Assign button ----->
fill data as
Business object : PREL
Document type : HRICOLOFOTO
---->click create button
--->
Personnel Number : enter personal number that you want to add photo to his personal data
for infotype choose "personal data" -----> click continue --------> choose image
I hope it is helpful

Hi,
T-codes: OANR, OAC2, SM30 (V_T585O), OAC3, SICF, OAC0 and OAAD.
The steps to upload the photograph are explained below:
In OANR make sure that there is no tick mark in external block.
In OAC2, Document type HRICOLFOTO must exist with document class JPG
In SM30, go in table V_T585O, Document type HRICOLFOTO must be linked to object type PREL & info type 0002
In OAC3, Check which content repository (Archive) is linked to document type HRICOLFOTO and object type PREL
Use SICF T-code: that displays lot of services. Under sap --> bc there is a service called content server interface. Activate this service
Now Create the A2 repository with T-code: OAC0.
While creating the repository, keep the Document Area blank, Storage type as R/3 database, Rep. Sub-type will appear as Normal by default, Version No. as 0046 and in Contents table put 'SDOKCONT1' as the table name.
Now upload the picture using Tcode: OAAD
Click on the Create button. Business objects PREL and Document type HRICOLFOTO. Click on create (fill in the right personnel number in the pop up and click Continue). Choose the photo (as a JPG file) from the place where it is saved (e.g. hard disk). SAP will notify that the Stored Document was created successfully. Photo is visible via PA10, PA20, PA30, PA40. Double-click to magnify photo
Regs,
Brahma

ohk,,, its done
i got msg on OAAD that stored document created successfully.
but am not able to see that photo in infotype 0002.
what should i do?
Hi Jagdish,
I think after this it shud be a cake walk for u, though u need to check some more settings.
U might have to Amend Infotype Headers to display photo u2018correctlyu2019 and for that u have to check table T588J thru SM31.
Shud be easy afterwards. For ur reference : [http://www.sd-solutions.com/SAP-HR-Employee-Photos-v4.7.html]
Hope this'll resolve ur issue.
Regards,
ARNAV...
hmm,, photo uploaded successfully,
and i had done header settings also..
but its not displaying that photo on 0002 infotype.
then i go to that generated document of archive link document id : DEE96D755CE886F1823E00215AA596E0 then by selecting it i click on status query.
it shows----Error during import of physical document (Z1, DEE96D755CE886F1823E00215AA596E0) from cluster table SDOKCONT1
i think table SDOKCONT1 is not filled yet.. bcoz i didnt find any entry in that table though the msg given photo uploaded successfully.
so, ny inputs?

Dear Jagdish,
Please contact your Basis Administrator for this as Creating the ARCHIVE LINK is more or less a BASIS job. My suggestion would be when u r following the steps, which is right, ask ur Basis person to sit with u or give him the details of what u have done. Show him the error msg & I'm sure that HE IS THE MAN.
Hope this helps.

Hi Jagdish,
Before going ahead with OAC3 you have go to OAC0 as menitioned details below:

Transaction code OAC0
IMG: Basis Components --> Basis Services --> SAP Archive Link --> Basic Settings --> Maintain content repositories
Swap from display to amend. Select a current entry and u2018copyu2019 or just hit u2018createu2019. Then select .
and fill in the details as below:
Choose a two character name u2013 can use Zx (where x is a number) if you wish to use the customer namespace
Choose the relevant description
Set DocArea to be u2018Archive Linku2019
Storage type u2013 set to R/3 Database or system Database
Protocol u2013 leave blank
Choose Version no. 0046 (or the latest one that is available)
Contents table u2013 set this to SDOKCONT1
Basic Path u2013 c:\ (this should be set to where the photos are all held)
Archive Path u2013 c:\ (this is the area from where the photos are retrieved)

Then go to OAC3 and copy PREL type then add content repository
This will solve your problem
