SAP MMC Not Started - Sql error -1034

Hi,

We installed SAP Ecc6 + oracle 10g on windows 2003

environment sucessfully .After we restart the server SAP mmc Disp+work process to be stopped.

Then I found the below errors in the dev_w0 log file

Regarding to this issue, I already studied note 491174.

AS per the note , I logged on to the System via PTSADM afterwards i try

to SAP MMC then to be stopped with error "Disp+work" status to be

stooped.. then I start the database manually

(Refer file oracle.bmp)then i try to start SAP MMC then it works fine.

After i Restart the machine then I start SAPMMC the same error occurs.

Please give me the suggestion to start DB automatically.

So the database is up...The R3trans is connecting fine to the database....So what is the issue now?

Is the sap icons still showing grey in the sapmmc.......

but v9start.sql file is missing. Actually we are installed oracle 10g version.

What I understand from this thread is you are not able to start the Oracle database using SAP MMC automatically.

Please check the startdb.cmd contents as per OSS Note 491174 - Composite SAP note for ORA-01034 which you already have refred.

Just refer Point 3 in Solution:-

If you use the Management Console to start the R/3 system in NT systems, the database first uses the STRDBS.CMD script. Then, the work processes attempt to connect to the database. If the database cannot be started using STRDBS.CMD, the system writes the ORA-01034 error code to the work process traces, and the work processes terminate. Therefore, check that the STRDBS.CMD script in the directory <drive>:\usr\sap\<sid>\SYS\exe\run is correct. The relevant entries must be as follows:

In addition, as of Oracle 8.1, the third line must contain a "svrmgrl" command and not a "svrmgr30" command as in previous releases (8.0 or lower).

As you can see - even if you manually started the database it's not available.

Please post the output of the last lines of alert<SID>.log

This might be a long shot, but I'll try it anyway:

What do you do when you "start the DB manually" ?

Do you use SQLPLUS ?

Or did you just start the WIndows Service from the

controlpanel ?

If the later, you did not complete the Install guide correctly,

as you might have to set startuptype of the service

from manual to automatic and the configuration of the

DB Autostart inside the service according to the guide.
