FTP Transfer with Gzip file

Hi ,

based on the OSS Note 965256 I know that the PI can handle zip files. my question is now, if anybody know if PI 7.1 ehp1 also supports the *format *.gzip?* We are currently analysing some interfaces and we do not have a test system where we can just can test this file type.

Does anyone of you have experiances with gzip?
