Hi All,

When we select "Release to A/c ing" in VF02

The following error is coming.

Valuation with material cost estimate: error with product "01F33150206"

Message no. KE350

Diagnosis

In Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), the system tried to valuate a line item using the current standard cost estimate.

In order to determine the current plan period, the system needs to read the valuation segment of the material master.

The system has found that the current plan period is not filled for product "xxxx" in plant "xxxx".

Display material (View: Costing)

The system looked for the material cost estimate using costing key "YB1", as defined in the Customizing settings for CO-PA.

System Response

The document cannot be processed.

Procedure

Contact your system administrator.

I clicked on Display material (View: Costing), then it is going to Material master. in that Costing 2 tab for Current Std Price is there.

When i clicked on "Customizing settings" it is going to Profitability Analysis-Master Data-Valuation-Set up Valuation using Material Cost Estimate-Define Access to Std Cost Elements.

Please can any one explain what to do, for solve this issue.

HI,

the system tries to valuate the billing document quantity with a plan cost estimate for the CURRENT period.

Although there is a current standard price in controlling 2 view in material master, this is not from a costing run released in the current period (in the column "current" in costing 2 view, the "period" and "fiscal year" is not the current.

Create / release a plan cost estimate as required (costing version YB1).

What you told exactly right. That price is not for the current month.

User told , after they run the std cost run .

HI,

Check this:

From 'Costing 2' view of material master, click on button 'Current' to see if there exists a current cost estimate. It could be that cost estimate is deleted, even though you see price in material master. Also, what option does period indicator shows in Costing key 'YB1' definition in KE40?

If it is indicator '1. Current Std.Cost estimate according to entry in material master', it does not mean that the current cost estimate has to be of current period of billing document. If standard cost is released once in a year, then you can't expect the current cost to be of current period/year.

You can also try valuation simulation using KE21S, to get a better understanding, if any of the above said things does not help.

Check whether costing key YB1 is assigned or not. check in the following path

Profitability Analysis-Master Data-Valuation-Set up Valuation using Material Cost Estimate-Define Access to Std Cost Elements.
