Have you tried creating a new connection?

You should be connecting on port 5<sysno>04.

Any chance you can provide details of your system and what you've tried and what the results were.

Has it ever worked? Is it a new install?

Can you see a page if you go to: http://systemname.fqdn:5<sysno>00/index.html?

Please provide the other details I requested, otherwise no one can help!

The J2EE engine is running??

Can you access the offline config editor?

I guess that you have just installed J2EE server. If it is 640, you could use the default connection wihtout defining a new connection, you need to use the userid J2EE_ADMIN and the password you have choicen during installation.

If htis is a new install, I will think you may need to check the inputs you had for your installation.

Its already installed 6 months back .

J2EE when i checked through SMICM it shows not running

When i restart it i though it was hang it is in the same condition like it is previous

When i try to open through Visual Admin in UNIX it gives out error

"Unable to lookup connection default

http://<localhost>:8101/msgserver/text/logon returned empty list of connection parameter"

How can i make it run as it shows in a stop state

The port for the default connection should be 5<sysno>04.

Try creating a new connection.

Also, trying logging on to the offline config editor.

and check the trace files to see why it won't startup - /usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS00/j2ee/cluster/server0/log.

There may be an incorrect parameter set.
