Issue in capturing in transit in SNP interactive planning book

Hi,

We are facing issue in capturing in trasit in SNP interactive planning book.

We are using standard planning area ( 9ASNP02) on which we have build up planning book which is copy of standard planning book. Earlier standard planning area was containing key figure 9AITRAN(in transit)attached to category group (IT1) which contained categories AH, EI.

As intransit was coming under category CS we added category in category group IT1. After adding it the intransit is not visble in planning book in key figure in transit but when we checking details of cell the value is present with start and end date as 01.01.1970 where as in RRP3 view intransit is present under current date.

Before additing category CS in IT1 group the intransit was not coming but now after adding category also the in transit is not visible in cell but present in detail view with wrong dates.

Regards,

Vrushali.

HI,

Stock in transit keyfigure will display only EI orders (incase of VMI

scenario) and AH orders (if you create inbound delivery).

If you integrate stock,CS orders only will be available in /sapapo/RRP3.

The root of the problem is in the setting from Intransit key figure:

from a planning area management point of view it reflects

the setting used in the standard SNP planning area but the customizing

of the category group used there is different from the one used in

standard systems.

Actually you added category CS there. But category CS has a atp category

type 0, which means stocks actually. In the SNP planning books by design

stocks are read separately from other orders because have to be

considered in the ATD computation.

Therefore if you need to read orders with category CS you should

consider it in the category group assigned to the ATD receipts key

figure and to the stock key figure.

This customizing could be applied at the planning area level, as

described above or at the master location level, SNP tab.

In this case you can specify there the category groups which have to be

used in order to consider stocks, ATD receipts and ATD issues about all

products assigned to the used master location. Please refer to the

related F1 helps in order to get more information about.

You can get more information at note 591310.

hi,

The ATP categories the currenly seen in-transit with the dates of 1970 is CS.

As mentioned earlier the category CS was not maintained under category group IT1 so to include the same in planning book we added that category.

Hi Vrushali,

Were you able to find the root cause and finally fix this issue? I am facing the same exact issue and not sure how to proceed.

Background of the issue:

In transit stock is visible with category CS in RRP3, but was not showing up in the In transit KF. As CS was not icluded in the category group IT1, I included CS along with AH and EI in the category group IT1. Still nothing shows up in the KF, but when i went in to the details of the 'initial' cell for this KF, In transit stock (CS) shows up with 12 units with start and end dates of 01.01.1970, where as in RRP3 Avail/ReqD for this Initial stock (CS) is 06.08.2010 of 12 units.

Really appreciate if you could share your findings and path to resolution.

Hi Shankar,

We have solved In transit issue using macro. Our requirement was stock on hand key figure should show pysical stock plus in transit stock which ideally happens in std plannning book if in transit data appears in In transit key figure.

So to achieve that we have modified stock balance macro. In that macro we have crated auxillary row to read in transit stock from live cache. We are using function PHYSICAL_STOCK( ACT_PRODUCT ; ACT_LOCATION ; VERSION ; CATEGORY). here in category u can specify CS as it is in transit category. and then we adding this auxillary row in stock on had calculation.

Hope same solution is helpful for u.

Hi Vrushali,

Thanks for the inputs. Would you be able to provide the macro that you built using the function PHYSICAL_STOCK()...its not allowing me to enter all the parametrs in the function

PHYSICAL_STOCK( ACT_PRODUCT ; ACT_LOCATION ; ACT_VERSION ; C

There is not enough space in the field there to enter 'S )' and to close the function. I even tried using the '000' instead of ACT_VERSION, so as to accomodate 'CS' and also ')' to close the function, but no luck...errors out when i try to generate the macro.

Hi,

What ATP categories the currenly seen in-transit with the dates of 1970, has ( EI and AH )?

The fact that, data is displayed correctly in product view and not in planning book, means probably that there is nothing wron with the data , but the grouping of the appropriate KFs in the planning books.
