Cannot calculate work in process at target costs

Dear Al.

We are calculating WIP in case of repetitive manufacturing and we are getting the following errors.

1.Cannot calculate work in process at target costs

Message no. KV191.

2. No WIP at target costs could be calculated.

Message no. KJ276.

what is the reason of above mentioned errors.

If we convert the error message to warning then what will be the effect.

Hi,

The errors KV191, Kj276 are generic messages and usually depend

on other warning messsages like KV154 or RM208.

Please see its long texts.

First please notice that the WIP-calculation for product cost

collectors is based on quantities valuated with a cost estimate.

More information can be found in the online documentation and in

note 1341815.

In order to calculate WIP at target on product cost collectors

reporting points are required.

This is also emphasized in the documentation of the work in

process calculation. Please check the online documentation resp.

SAP R/3 library.

For KV191 please ensure a proper cost estimate is available and by

the recommendations of note 386816.

Can you tell me if i change the status of the error message then what will be the effect.

If it does not have any adverse effect then my issue will get solved.

As my client asking for the effect of the change in the status of error.

Hi Shayam,

The Reason is your company code currency & controlling area currency might be different, so

1. Maintain exchange rates for company code currency and controlling area currency

2.Maintain company code, costing type and costing variant maintain in OKYW

3. Delete standard cost estimation

4. again run and release standard cost estimation

5. again calculate WIP
