Hello,

I have a windows system, in the step 11 of 38 the installation is stopped. In the logs show this error,

please run the followngs commands:

C:\sapdb\programs\pgm\dbmcli.exe -n VBARAHONA inst_enum

C:\sapdb\programs\pgm\dbmcli.exe -n VBARAHONA db_enum

and post output.

Hi All,

Me too faced the same error meanwhile installation.

Sapinst.exe from NW 7.0 EHP1 - Windows Server 2008R2 - Content Server 6.40 - Max DB 7.8

While installation on the step of creating database instance, i was getting the error 

"The dbmcli call for action GET_DB_STATE failed. SOLUTION: Check the logfile SdbCmdOut.log."

The solution is pretty simple, just place the sapdb.ini file in the same directory from where you are executing sapinst.exe.

You can get the sapdb.ini file from Snote 1463509 .

The instance SAP and BBDD is in the same laptop. The instance N22 is SAP and BBDD. Version MaxDB is 7.8.01.14 C:\sapdb\N22\db and s.o. is Windows Vista Enterprise Service Pack 2.

In the step 11 of 38 the installation is stopped, before drop the MaxDB and restart the installation. In the all step the installation it´s ok but when go to the step 11 is stop.

In the log show this message,

Did you delete the database software on the server VBARAHONA manually? How delete the database software?

Ok, how delete the database software? When try delete the database VBC tell me the message CANNOT UNINSTALL INSTALLATION THERE IS A REGISTERED DATABASE VBC.

What version of Developer Workplace < NW CE > are planning to install?

Are you SAP customer? No, i dont a customer is a test in my computer, after send a customer for installation in your PC´s.

If yes, did you check PAM if 7.8 is supported for your version? The version is NW 7.0 SR3 Developer Workplace.
