Hi Samta !

To integrate, you will have to follow the standard procedure the same way you integrate the R/3 Systems. For creation of a system & iView, you can refer the following link:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/13/fed004da9e1f4282d884a57138c8d6/frameset.htm

Hope, this reply would answer to many of the queries which all of you may have.

Hello,

Any idea about the search capabilities?

Let's say the solution manager is integrated in the SAP Portal and trex is available in the SAP portal.

Can we search documents stored in the solution manager via the trex which is integrated in the SAP Portal? Is there a how-to guide available on the config?

Thanks a lot

Best regards

Hi,

Plz follow the Steps io integrate SAP Solution Manager with SAP Enterprise Portal and about the single sign on,the procedure is same as other sap systems.

1. Create an External Service for SAP GUI Transaction

'SOLUTION_MANAGER'.

2. Optionally create an External Service for the IAC 'dsa_sswb'.

- DSWP_SSWB is the HTML version of the Solution Manager. This

version is limited in function compared to the SAP GUI

Transaction. We recommend you use the SAP GUI version whenever

possible.

3. Create a role for the Solution Manager.

4. Create a folder in the Solution Manager role to hold the web

service(s) created in steps 1 and 2.

5. Add the web service(s) created in steps 1 and 2 to the new folder.

6. Assign users to the Solution Manager role.

- These instructions require that you have set up the Enterprise

Portal, and you have added the Solution Manager R/3 system to the

Portal's system.xml file. See the Portals' documentation for further

information.

- To use the optional HTML version of the Solution Manager, you must

install and configure an ITS server for the Solution Manager

system. See the Solution Manager installation instructions for

further information.

Detailed Instructions

To perform the following steps, you must log in as a Portals administrator.

1. Create an External Service for the SAP GUI Transaction

'SOLUTION_MANAGER'.

1.1. Follow the Portal menu path 'Content Admin' -> 'Roles'.

1.2. In the 'Edit Area' select 'External Service' from the

drop-down menu and click 'Create'.

1.3. Make the following entries:

Title: 'Solution Manager (SAP GUI)'

Technical Name: 'zz_solution_manager_sapgui'

Click 'next >>'.

1.4. Select a language for the translation process.

Click 'next >>'.

1.5. Select '[x] SAP Transaction' as the application type.

Click 'next >>'.

1.6. Select the Solution Manager's R/3 sytem from the pull-down

menu.

Click 'next >>'.

1.7. Select GUI Type: 'WinGui'

Click 'next >>'.

1.8. Enter Transaction Code: 'solution_manager'

Click 'next >>'.

1.9. Check your settings, and click 'Finish'.

2. Create an External Service for the IAC 'DSWP_SSWB' (Optional).

Repeat the above steps, with the following exceptions:

- Title: 'Solution Manager (HTML)'

Technical Name: 'zz_solution_manager_html'

- Application type: '[x] SAP IAC'

- Enter IAC service Id: 'dsa_sswb'

- At the 'Enter Additional Parameters' screen click 'next >>'.

3. Create a role for the Solution Manager.

3.1. In the 'Edit Area' select 'Role' from the

drop-down menu and click 'Create'.

3.2. Make the following entries:

Title: 'Solution Manager'

Technical Name: zz_solution_manager_role

Click 'next >>'.

3.3. Select a language for the translation process.

Click 'next >>'.

3.4. Check your settings, and click 'Finish'.

4. Create a folder in the Solution Manager role to hold the web

service(s) created in steps 1 and 2.

4.1. Enter the text 'Solution Manager' in the text box beside the

'New Folder' button. (The 'New Folder' button is located

at the bottom of the 'Edit Area')

4.2. Click 'New Folder'

4.3. Select the folder you just created by clicking on it.

5. Add the web service(s) created in steps 1 and 2 to the new folder.

5.1. In the 'View Area' select 'External Services' from the

pull-down menu.

Scroll until you locate 'zz_solution_manager_sapgui'

(Use the up and down arrow buttons to scroll in the list

of external services.)

5.2. Click 'zz_solution_manager_sapgui' to select it

5.3. Make sure the 'Solution Manager' folder created above is

selected (by clicking it)

5.4. Click 'Add >>'.

5.5. Optionally repeat the above steps for

'zz_solution_manager_html'

5.6. Click 'Save' to save the role.

6. Assign users to the Solution Manager role.

  • The following procedure shows you how to assign users directly to

the role. This procedure is only recommended if you cannot access

the Portal LDAP directory to create groups for Portal users.

You can alternatively create a group for Solution Manager users,

assign users to the group, and assign 'zz_solution_manager_role'

to the group. If possible, this is the recommended procedure.

See the Enterprise Portal documentation for further information.

6.1. Follow the Portal menu path 'Portal Admin' -> 'Role

Assignment'.

6.2. Search for 'zz_solution_manager_role' in 'Roles'.

6.3. Edit 'zz_solution_manager_role'

6.4. Search in 'Users' for the appropriate users.

6.5. Click the check-boxes next to the appropriate users.

6.6. Click 'Add'.

6.7. Repeat for all users you want to add to the Solution Manager

role.

6.8. Click 'Save'

Hello Santosh,

Well i got ur reply.

That is nothing but create a SAP Transaction iView.

What i wanted to know was actual integration with the use of Business packages, and not this.

Is there a standard business package to integrate it ?

Anyways thanks for ur reply,

I am not able to reward points, as this is not my post.

Thanks,

Samta
