Hi All!
We've got a problem with our fresh TREX 7.0 installation.
When it was installed first, it worked well (at least runInstallationTest.py).
Then we tried to install SP8.
After that TREX started to throw errors.
runInstallationTest.py stops on step3:
"Step 3: set the queue parameters>
result: Return Code: 6002 -> Exception occured"
When I try to create some index, portal says that:
" Index could not be created; creating index failed: A communication error occured, with the TREX TcpIp Server (Errorcode 2982)"
When I go to TREX Monitor, all lights are green.
Also everything is green in TREX Admin tool.
What could be done to fix that?
Landscape: SAP EP 7.0 SP8 (from NW2004s), TREX 7.0, Windows, MS SQL.
Thanks in advance!
Regards,
DK
Dennis,
Check whether the TREX name server (Syntax: tcpip://<hostname>:<port>,tcpip://<hostname>:<port>) is entered under parameter "PNS-address" in the TREX configuration file TREXConfigMgr.ini in section [all] and then enter it, if necessary.
You find file TREXConfigMgr. ini in the TREX installation directory.
Set parameter restore-connection = 1
Check whether both the value "nameserver" and value "isapiregister" (only valid for TREX on Windows) are entered in the TREX configuration file TREXDaemon.ini in the section [daemon] under parameter "programs".
File TREXConfigMgr. ini is located in the TREX installation directory.
If you have changed entries in the configuration files, start the TREX service as well as the IIS (iisreset; only Windows), so that the changes to TREX are recognized.
