Hi Guys,
I have recently installed BOE XI R2 onto a Windows 2003 server.
Now when I access the Central Management Console, I get the below error.
It does go away if I restart the world wide web publishing service and an iisreset, but only for a while.
WCA plugin error
Message:An exception has occurred in the admin plugin with message: An unknown error has occurred.
Stack Trace:
at BusinessObjects.Enterprise.WebComponentAdapter.WebComponent.Process(HttpContext context)
at BusinessObjects.Enterprise.WebComponentAdapter.WCAHandler.ProcessRequest(HttpContext context)
I have tried reinstalling " .NET Web Component Adapter" by selecting modify in add/remove programs.
If anyone knows how to fix this that would be great!
Cheers
It would really be helpful is someone could post what about the WebConfig needs to be changed. I would really appreciate the help it getting rid of this error.
Thanks.
Kevin

Check this KB

In web.config files you need to populate name of your CMS machine.
upgrading to the latest SP could also help.

Thanks, I see this is the fix:
Found the fix - we had to update the WebConfig in the following paths...
\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\Web Content
\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\Web Content\Enterprise115\InfoView
\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5\Web Content\Enterprise115\WebTools
But what exactly am I supposed to update?
Cheers
