Dear SAP Gurus,

We are maintaining the foreign exchange rates in OB08 . The user manually update these rates from the http://www.oanda.com/currency/converter/ in sap in OB08 .

Is there any way / Program / method by which we can automatically get the rates from this site updated in SAP OB08 automatically? This would prevent manual errors.

Thanking youall in advance

Best Regards,

CA Satish Prabhu

Hi Satish,

In Financial Supply Chain management>Treasury and Risk Management>Market Data Management, you may explore the possibility of uploading a file.

I know that you can configure here for rates update through a third party Service provider by maintaining the datafeed.. but for uploading a file from a site.. explore it here..

The F1 help says:-

Market Data Management

You can transfer market data to the system in two ways:

Datafeed: You have an exchange information system such as Reuters or Dow Jones and a relevant external partner program installed on your system with which the datafeed can communicate.

File interface: You can store your market data in SAP format and transfer this to the system using a report program. Make sure you use the correct file format.

This section describes all the settings which allow you to transfer market data to the system.

Explore File Interface...

Hi,

Yes you can do it automatically with development program. You can use webservise fucntion for this. If your central bank represent daily exchange rate as xml. and posted to TCURR. You can set up a job from SM36 as daily 2 times. For instance, you can set up a job in the evening 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. And I am sure if you consult your developer he will tell you how you can do this program and its way.

In europe, There is program that is upload exchange rate from europe central bank. But it is used only by europe users. I am from Turkey and we always use program with Z.

You can save it to excel and upload it using TBEX. Check the documentation in the transaction.

Satish,

This is not possible in standard way. It may possible be created but it's a little complex.

The most regular way is enter manually.
