SAP PI Alert Setup: Runtime Workbench - 'Activate Rules' no authorization

Former Member

Hi Experts - We are trying to setup Interface alerts in the Runtime Workbench of SAP PI, however the check box 'Activate Rules' on tab 'Alert Configuration' is disabled for us.

Would you know which authorization role is required in order to have access to set this check box and eventually activate the alerting rules?

Thanks for your help.

Mathias.

Hello

Check the value of the Exchange Profile parameter com.sap.aii.connect.rwb.name. Change this to the fully qualified host name (if not already set).

Also check the notes below for futher troubleshooting steps:

For missing authorizations in Alert Configuration in RWB please see note: 1748935 - Authorization object needed to create PI Alert Rules

Hi Mark - RWB setup is confirmed. The notes did not contain substantial help. Thanks for the feedback anyway.

We have identified one environment in our landscape where we correctly access this section in the RWB under "Alert Rule Definition" - comparing the authorizations of the users we did not find any difference.

We are pursuing further ways to solve this. However any further input is most welcome.

Thanks, Mathias.
