How to use POS datasource

Hello expert,

for retail POS datasource, such as 0RT_PA_TRAN_CONTROL, where I find this DS ( in ECC or BI source system) , how to activate it , how to test data extracted by it ( some like RSA3), because this DS get data from PIPE, please help me to clear up How to use this DS?

Follow these steps:

1. Go to TCODE Rsa5 in ECC system. Search this DS. Activate it.

2. Once it's activated, you can go to TCODE RSA6 in ECC and can do the medications etc( if you need to enhance this DS). You need to write the code in CMOD also. But this step is only required if you need to do some customization.

3. Go to TCODE RSA3 and run it. ITs simulations. If it return records means everything is ok.

4. No go to BW system and replicate this DS. You need to find the application component in Data Sources in RSA1 and select option replicate DS.

5. After that you can create IP and run this load.

Note: These steps are just standard steps for Any DS. I have not checked the extraction mechanism of this DS.
