Hi,

My SAPOSS connection works ok, but my SAP_OSS connection does not. Can somebody confirm that my technical settings for this connection is ok so that i can rule it in/out?

Target System: OSS

Msg.Server: /H/147.204.2.5/S/sapdp99/H/oss001

Group: 1_Public

save to dbase as: hostname

Any help appreciated,

Regards

Hi,

This is right. But you need to understand that this RFC is used to send message from your service desk to SAP. Hence make sure that you have maintained an S user in the Login & Security tab which connects to SAP system.

the s user is ok.

The error i am getting is:

'Error Details ERROR: timeout while pending for route completion'

Seeming to suggest SAPROUTTAB?

Do i need to have an entry for the message server (147.204.2.5) in my SAPROUTTAB

Hello,

Yes you need to make the SAPRouter entries, please refer to SAP Note 33135 - Guidelines for OSS1.

This will help.

Hi Jansi

yes SAPOSS works ok. It's just SAP-OSS that is a problem.

I'll try your suggestion and revert.

Still no joy. I have added this line to my SAPROUTTAB.

P <my public ip address> 147.204.2.5 3299

Should the message server address be the same for SAPOSS and SAP-OSS, mine are different.

This is SAPOSS which works:

/H/<my private ip address>/S/sapdp99/H/194.39.131.34/S/sapdp99/H/oss001

This i SAP-OSS:

/H/194.39.131.34/S/sapdp99/H/oss001

Hello Howard,

If SAPOSS works:

Read SAP Note 763561 Service Data Control Center (SDCCN) - FAQ

To ensure SDCC_OSS can be created correctly, SAPOSS itself has to

be maintained correctly. The best way to maintain SAPOSS is via

settings in transaction OSS1, as described in note 33135.

It is recommended that SAPOSS also use 'Load distribution'; to

achieve this use note 766505.

In otherwords if SAPOSS is working (SAP-OSS, SDCC_OSS andAP-OSS-LIST-O01 are just a copy) and these notes will guide you to make a new copy of the working RFC SAPOSS to SAP-OSS. See Note 982045 - Error calling the SAP back-end system

and pay close attention to Step 4.

This should resolve the NOT working SAP-OSS RFC.

Paul
