"Error when generating PDF file" - Appraisals - Adobe PDF error

Dear All

Currently facing an issue when trying to download the appraisal template from PHAP_ADMIN (admin functions) using the standard DOWNLOAD option. Error message is "Error when generating PDF file".

Note: Installed components & system details are:

AdobeDocumentServices 7.01

Adobe Reader 8

HR support pack - SAPKE60420

Authorization: SAP_ALL

PDF document is getting generated using test program 'FP_TEST_00'

Kindly suggest.

Dear All

We resolved this issue with the help of these two SAP notes :

• Note 944221 (Troubleshooting if problems occur in forms processing)

• Note 736902 (Adobe Credentials)

The issue is mainly due to the credential which is not installed & registered for Adobe Interactive forms with reference to note 944221 (point 5 in page 5) as program FP_TEST_IA_01 is giving a dump.

We asked the customer to raise an SAP message requesting the credentials for Adobe Interactive forms. After installing the credentials provided by SAP, this particular issue got resolved.

Now we are able to download appraisal documents in PDF format, offline we can enter data in them and upload it back also (Adobe Interactive forms functionality) resulting in the new data getting updated in the appraisal document.

There is one smart form for generating the PDF. Ask some ABAPer to check the smartform. Check if there is any dump in ST22 or not. If dump is there then correct it.
