Hi Experts,

In BPC DEV system we are done with the all development activities by using SAP BPC 7.5 NW.

We are in the process of moving of developed objects from BPC DEV to BPC QUALITY.

Please share your valuable inputs for below points

1. We need step by step process for the collection of BPC DEV objects in transport request.

2. What are all the activities we need to consider/take care before transporting objects from BPC DEV to BPC QUALITY

Regards

Amit

Hi Experts,

We have issues in transporting objects from Development to quality.

We created a transport request and were able to successfully transfer the APPSET. Subsequently in quality when we

checked we found that few objects like dimension members, Reports and input schedules and journals are not transported.

From the SAP document that we have read, we understand that table UJT_TRANS_FIL has to be maintained with certain

settings to pick up the files. We are not sure what settings we need for our purpose (TLOGO id).

Please let us know what approach is being used in your projects for transporting the above objects.

Thanking you,

Regards

Hi,

you can try to re create the transportation request only with the reports and input schedule puting all the other options in P and making again the transpot. If that doesn´t work you can try to pass the files manually like it's explain in this forum.

hope it helps,

Hi Amit,

I suggest you look for transports related white paper on SDN or a there is also an excellent article by SAP on life cycle management in SAP BPC 7.5 for NW version which gives all the details about the BPC transports such as objects that are transported, objects that are excluded. Some of the points at a high level.

- In BPC the application set as a whole is transported in an overwrite or update mode.

- BW objects such as if you have created any custom process chains or any staging cubes in BW are not transported along with the BPC transport. You need to transport them separately

- Collect your transport request by turning the application set offline in development using UJBPCTR

- Also note while importing the request, the application set in the target i.e. quality system in your case must also be tuned offline. If this is your first ever transport, it does not apply.

- Check your transport table UJT_TRANS_CHG to see the objects that are set to 'D' - development. Only these are transported across

- The security relating to users and team would not go through. ADMIN team would go through

Please check the articles and let me know if you still have any specific questions.

Thanks
