Hi,
I did enough search on SDN still could not get the answer for this. Hence posting it here.
Here is the question.
We have Maternity Leave which is leave without quota. Whenever a employee takes it, it should give Absence days = Calendar days. But currently "Absence days" are not considering weekends. Please suggest.
We have the same business requirement for Leave with quota as well. In those cases, "Quota used" = "Calendar days" but not equal to "Absence days". (Again "Absence days" not considering weekends)
Things tried so far.
1. Everything in the relevant counting rule has been checked.
2. Daily WS Class for weekend is changed to non blank. ('6')
3. Day Type changed to '1' (from '0'.
Still no luck. Please suggest.
Thanks

Hi Krishna,
Reply sent by Mr Woody Nguyen is Correct.
By changing counting rule payroll days will be equal to calender days but not Absence days.
Its a standard one. But why you require Absence hours = calender day. Is there any impact in any process?

Hi friend!
Please reading explanation of SAP about Absence Days in IT2001 as below:
"The number of days determined by the system on the basis of information from the employee's work schedule".
So the number is calculated automatically by SAP. The Absence Days = total all days that having Planned working hours > 0.
So if the daily work schedule has Planned working hours = NULL, sap will not count as an Absence Day. So if you want Absence Day = Calendar Day, as far as I know, you just only 1 choice that modifying Planned working hours is bigger than 0.
If you want to do that, please follow link below:
Time Management
Work Schedules
Daily Work Schedules
Define Daily Work Schedules
and input 1 value bigger than 0 for field "Planned working hours".
or table view V_T550A in T-Code: SM31/SM30.
Hope you can do it soon.
Regards!
Woody.

Day Type - Flag Work acc. to work schedule
Counting class for period work schedule - Flag all

Planned hours - Flag
Planned hours >0 - Flag
condition for absence / attendance - Full day - Flag

Dear Krishna,
Can u try with marking all the check boxes in the Counting Rule screen along with Counting Classes. Shud make things easy for u.
Do u have LOP/LWP configured............? If yes then see the that config for Counting Rule and do it accordingly or check any standard LOP Counting Rule configuration. Surely will resolve ur issue.
Hope this helps.

ARNAV...
Hi Arnav,
Thanks for the reply.
I do not use counting classes, but counting class 0 is checked in the counting rule. I even made it to '1' and there is no luck .SO no problem there.
I do not have SAP standard LOW, LOP configured. So no chance to check their behavior.
Can you please check in your system if it is already configured.
Till now I have not encountered anyone who says that it is working for me. (Absence days = calendar days in IT 2001)
Thanks
Krishna
Hi
This can be handled in standard config.
Please recheck your counting rules.
Are you using Infotype 80 for maternity?

Hi RK,
When I meant ALL, I meant all relevant check boxes. For example: Day Type, Holiday Class, Saturday Sunday, 0 hours >0 hours etc.
I am getting a feeling that it cannot be changed, since planed hours for Sat, Sun is 0 hours.
Are you sure that you have done it for "Absence Days"? Or did you configure "Quota used" / "Payroll days"?
Thanks
Krishna
HI
Did you look into ABSENCE VALUATION which would be under your country Payroll IMG
thanks
