Hi,
Service procurement & material supply to customer are different process and both use different process completely with its valuation, material type, material group & document type.
Service is an intangible material & as services cannot be stored, a material master record of this material type does not contain inventory data & stored.
For Selling Service you can go for creating sales order with material with material type (DIEN material type) and sale it.
To get Service from Vendor, you can use Service master in Purchase Order/Service Order with respect to sale order with acc. Ass. Cat. C( where you can link sale order) and then regular process of SES, MIRO & payment to vendor.(link service to service)
For DIEN material type used for scenarios like time & material (which mainly used for resource related billing), milestone billing where you have different sales order document type.
But service procurement from vendor to material supply to customer no such direct link:
