Hi Experts,
I am having the following queries
1. How the Plant Maintenance is integrated with CO in terms of product costing.
2. How the Equipment (Machine) wise maintenace expenses can be tracked.
3. How the Plant Maintenance and Asset Accounting are integrated.
Please also enlighten on the other integration aspects.
It would be helpful if any configuration steps given.

Plant Maintenance if implemented, requires the below steps to integrated with CO
1. How the Plant Maintenance is integrated with CO in terms of product costing.
Seperate Costing variant is required for valuating the material cost and activity cost on the Maintenance order which is configured in Plant maintenance node in SPRO -
Maintenance and Service orders - Functions and settings for Order types - Costing data for Maintenance and service order - here you maintain the Costing variant requried
Maintenance and service processing - settings for display of costs - under this steps your categorise the cost elements to the value categories i, e type of cost whether internal activity, consumables etc. and accordingly assign the required cost elements.
*Maintenance and service processing - General order settlement" - under this you define the allocation structure and settlement profile for settling the maintenance orders.
2. How the Equipment (Machine) wise maintenace expenses can be tracked.
For Each equipment, create an Plant maintenance order. Till its end book all the repair expenses to it and montly do a settlement of these orders to the respective cost centers. In this way you can have track on the expenses incurred on specific machines.
3. How the Plant Maintenance and Asset Accounting are integrated.
In Equipment master data, you have to assign the corresponding Asset master no or wise verse

Yes the below said procedure is followed if you implement Plant maintenance module.
If it is not implemented then you can create a Plant maintenance cost center, post the cost related to it and do month end activity to distribute this cost to the production cost centers.

All the plant maintenance costs are posted to maintainence costcenters and later they are posted to production cost centers, through distrubution or assessment as a month end process, simillarly for equipment maintainence. that is the integration is in the maintenance work centers where we assign costcenter
