Exception: CS, job already in use

I am getting "Error during SQL Execution (DA0003) with an Exception CS, job already in use, while running a Deski report.

Hi,

I added ReceiveTimeout=14400000 i.e. 4 hrs in registry. Now I am getting error as "Exception: HTTP, Error on Execute"

Please advice.

My report is running succesfully on another machine for about 2 hrs 30 minutes without any errors with different user credentials..

Hi Jaya,

You'll probably find the user is running Deski in 3-tier mode. This uses an HTTP connection to the Connection Server and middleware on the BO server in stead of local.

You can tell if you're in 3-tier mode because it says "Connected HTTP" in the bottom right-hand corner of Deski.

Find out how long it takes for this error to appear. I would guess if you're using IE7 and above, it times out after 30 seconds.

Hi Jaya,

You'd probably find the answers quicker if you search in the knowledge base in stead of posting on the forum.

If you search here http://service.sap.com/xsearch with the words "exception cs job already in use" you'll find many articles.

Basically this message means that there is a time-out in your browser and you need to change this in your registry settings.

This occurs in Infoview or if you're using Deski in 3-tier mode.
