Infopackage is running long with no record updating into PSA

Hi,

Infopackage while pulling data from R/3 system, updates no records after some no. of records.

In source system job keeps running in active state, where in BW IP fails after a long time with processing overdue with no short dump or IDoc stuck.

Datasource: 0CML_CASHFLOW

Monitor Status:

Request still running

Diagnosis

No errors found. The current process has probably not finished yet.

System Response

The ALE inbox of BI is identical to the ALE outbox of the source system

or

the maximum wait time for this request has not yet been exceeded

or

the background job has not yet finished in the source system.

Source System Job log stuck with many of these statements:

"Call customer enhancement BW_BTE_CALL_BW204010_E (BTE) with 0 records

Result of customer enhancement: 0 records

Call customer enhancement EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001 (CMOD) with 0 records

Result of customer enhancement: 0 records"

Please help with this issue.

Job termination in source system

Diagnosis

The background job for data selection in the source system has been terminated. It is very likely that a short dump has been logged in the source system

Result of customer enhancement: 0 records

Call customer enhancement EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001 (CMOD) with 0 records

Hi Prasanth,

Check your trfc is transfering the data or not.

In monitoring tab-> Envirnotment menu-. TRFC -> In source system -> R.click -> Execute LUWS

may'be it helps you.

Check in RSA3 for this datasource whether it is extracting anything

check for timeout setting in Infopackage ---scheduler option on top left ..

Hi,

First please check in R/3 in the tcode RSA 3 if the data is being extracted for your datasource.

If there is no data being extracted in RSA3 then the infopackage keeps running for long time sometimes without updating in PSA.

If data is being extracted then add some restrictions in your infopackage with some date range and then try to extract data.

Lets see if it is extracting data.

This issue is resolved for me now. Unfortunately there was some bigger issue.

Well I tried extraction at R/3 using RSA3 and it was fine. below are the issue details:

Issue & resolution: There were some contracts in R/3 side which had UNTILL DATE as 12.12.2999. Because of this there were many entries generating in the flow. As our BW's SBIW settings for R/3 was not maintained for such a big load thus the load was getting failed.

SAP has suggested to change the UNTILL DATES for those contracts or to change SBIW setting. We followed the previous one and it resolved the issue.
